Chiropractic
![]() Chiropractic is the largest natural primary health care profession in the world. It is based on the fact that the nervous system controls all aspects and every function of the body. There are nerve receptors all over the body which monitor movement, position, and changes in one's environment (internal and external). These receptors and their nerve tracts carry information to and from the brain, muscles, and organs. If the nerve tract becomes compromised anywhere between the receptor and the brain, the information it carries is also compromised. You've experienced this when you've sat in one position too long and your leg goes numb. Remove the pressure and the feeling comes back. This also can occur to nerve signals to organs and other tissues. If the signal is compromised, the organ function is compromised.
Chiropractic accesses the nervous system by way of these many receptors in order to retrain the body to function optimally. The spinal column functions as a flexible, load bearing conduit that protects the spinal cord that the nerve signals travel through, and misalignments of this column is one way these nerve signals can become compromised. Chiropractors correct the misalignments by "adjusting" them by a variety of methods. Chiropractic Structure Determines Function |

Holistic Health
Holistic Health care is a natural approach to wellness that seeks to treat the whole body as a system rather than selected symptoms. Lifestyle, nutrition, physical activity and stress are all factors in one's health. Practitioners of this approach use only natural remedies and modalities and focus on patient education and responsibility in respect to healthy lifestyle choices, stress management and a reduction in exposure to toxic chemicals and pesticides. The idea of a holistic approach to health is as old as medicine itself. The body will heal itself if given a chance. Holistic Health
The power that made the body, heals the body Herbal Medicine
![]() Herbal, or Botanical medicine utilizes natural plant substances to treat illness or deficiencies. The practice of using herbs for medicinal purposes has existed since prehistoric times and is used today by up to 80% of the world's population as a primary form of medicine. Even cats, dogs, and other animals innately seek out different plants to eat when they are not feeling well, as those who have been around animals will have observed.
Herbs may be used directly as teas and extracts, or incorporated into food as spices. For example turmeric, the main spice used used in curries, contains the alkaloid curcumin which exhibits anti-inflammatory properties, and has shown to help arthritic pain and other conditions. Modern medicines that originally came from plants include aspirin (white willow bark), digitalis (foxglove), codeine (opium), L-Dopa (velvet bean)..... and many more. But you can't patent a plant..... Herbal Medicine |
Acupuncture
![]() Acupuncture, or Meridian Therapy, is a system of health care that developed over the past 5000 years or so, as a method to access the subtle electromagnetic pathways that run though all living organisms. These pathways, or Meridians, carry the flow of energy, or Qi, throughout the body and organ systems. In a healthy body, this flow of energy is balanced. Imbalance in this energy flow can effect the quality of function of the body system or organ system that each pathway flows through.
Modern technology has caught up with ancient principles enough to actually measure these meridian pathways and quantify the state of balance/imbalance. Electro Meridian Imaging (EMI) is a diagnostic tool that utilizes a computer to measure each of the major meridians and graphically displays the results, revealing imbalances, excesses and deficiencies in the meridian systems. There are a variety of methods used to bring this flow back into balance such as direct stimulation, very fine needles, electrical stimulation, heat or various wavelengths of light. Research has demonstrated that Acupuncture/Meridian Therapy can alleviate headaches, stress, nausea, arthritis, musculoskeletal and myofacial pain, as well as other disorders. Acupuncture |
Nutritional therapy
![]() Proper nutrition is one of the foundations of good health. It is a fact that "we are what we eat", our food is literally the building blocks of our bodies. The quality of the food we put into our bodies determines the quality of health our bodies exhibit. We can learn something from the Three Little Pigs on this-- low quality building materials result in a low quality structure that breaks down easily, whereas better quality materials result in a more sound structure that will function more efficiently, and better withstand the demands placed upon it.
An assessment can be made to reveal which body systems are stressed and affecting your overall health. Recommendations will be made using professional grade nutritional products that will support and strengthen the body's innate ability to heal itself. Improved health and quality of life are the result. This is a necessity for improving Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Arthritis and other autoimmune disorders. Nutritional Therapy Would you rather live in a straw hut or a brick house? The choice is yours. |
